AKYEM ODA: MARKET WOMEN GETS 1,000 RAIN COATS FROM ASSEMBLY MEMBER.
The assembly member of Oda Nkwanta electoral area in the Akyem Oda constituency of the Eastern region; Hon. Dennis Obeng Agyei has provided 1,000 rain coats for market women in Akyem Oda central market who trade in an open space after their market got burnt.
Hon Dennis Obeng Agyei speaking to the media divulged that he saw the need to provide the market women with rain coats as they always get wet anytime it rains because they trade in an open space and further showed much appreciation to NPP government for the reconstruction of a new market for the women but pleaded with the contractor to speed up work for the traders to move in on time as promised them.
The market queen mother of Akyem Oda central market; Madam Agatha Agyiri and some of the market women after receiving their rain coats narrated to the media how they suffer when it rains and further acknowledged the assembly member for his support and care for the market women.
The honorable Presiding Member for the Birim Central Municipal Assembly: Hon. Clement Attafuah and Hon. Yaw Adu who is also an assembly member in Akyem Oda respectively spoke to the media about the situation in Akyem Oda market when it’s rains and the need for the rain coats.
