The Platinum Radio Station located in Juaso, Asante Akim South Municipality, Ashanti Region, Ahwenepa 95.5fm is set to honour fathers in a grant style.
The most talked-about media house within and outside Ashanti intends to celebrate Fathers for their wonderful and selfless roles they play in the lives of many young children who develop into useful and productive adults .
Though Father’s Day Celebration ( 20th June) over the years has not received that much deserved attention and hype in Ghana, Ahwenepa fm is optimistic that through its medium and programs, this year’s commemoration of this important occasion, will be done in grand style during which period, smiles will be put on the faces of most fathers at least for the first time.
“Fathering is not something perfect men do, but something that perfects the man”.The media gaint has lined up programs to make the event a memorable one.
Variety of talk shows regarding appreciation of fatherhood, being a responsible father, prayer sessions for fathers and pep talks are in the offing.
Blood donation and Health Screening exercises will be held on Saturday, 19th June 2021 at the forecourt of the radio station. This will be carried out by a medical team from Agogo Presbyterian Hospital.There will be lots of giveaways.
The event will be climaxed on Sunday, 20th June, 2021 with a dinner for some selected listeners and their fathers.This will be held at the premises of Julan Hotel, Juaso.The selection will be based on callers’ ability to eulogize and publicize why their fathers should be celebrated.
