He continued by saying that on June 29, 2023, Ampaw, who lives at Weija SCC in Accra, allegedly stole the aforementioned sum from the complainant on the condition that the church would receive a 2019 Toyota Land Cruiser from Dubai.
The earliest attempts to find Ampaw and retrieve the money were unsuccessful. After trying to flee the nation, he was eventually caught at KIA on February 12, 2024, and turned over to officials of the Legon Police Station.
When Ampaw was apprehended, the complainant identified him. Ampaw admitted to the crime while being questioned.
