A 25-year-old “Sakawa” (money rituals) practitioner was detained in a troubling event in the Central Region of Ghana after he attempted to buy soiled sanitary pads from female pupils at the Awutu Obrachire Secondary Technical School.
The suspect, whose identity has been concealed, is from Agona Swedru and is said to have paid one of the female students GH 100 in exchange for her collection and delivery of all of her used sanitary pads, which he planned to utilize in money rituals. After the rites were over, he agreed to give the pupils a portion of the money.
Instead of taking the offer, the youngster told her classmates and teachers about the suspect’s plans.
The educators took a cunning tack and chose to set up a trap for the suspect. To make the brand-new sanitary pads appear old, they painted them with a red liquid material after purchasing them. Then they let the suspect know that the things were prepared for pickup.
The suspect eagerly entered the school’s grounds without realizing he was entering a trap. A number of teachers swiftly intervened and caught him as he was interacting with the pupil to gather the stuff.
