Marie-Claire Rupio, the late Black Stars star Christian Atsu Twasam’s wife, has traveled to Ghana to participate in her husband’s funeral ceremonies and burial.
The late football star’s spouse, her parents, other family members, and her three children with Atsu arrived at the Kotoka International Airport on the evening of Thursday, March 16, 2023, according to a report by Kofi Adomah Nwanwani of Kofi TV.
The family is seen being hurried into a waiting car before leaving the airport in a Local TV video of their arrival.
Thousands of people are due to pay their final respects to the player during the State-Assisted funeral of Atsu, which is currently taking place in the forecourt of the State House in Accra.
Christian Atsu passed quite suddenly after being found in the debris of his destroyed Hatay apartment on the day of the earthquake that rocked Turkey.
