A Junior High School student of Odumasi Presbyterian Basic School in Asante Akim Central Municipal,Ashanti Region has committed suicide.The 13 year old girl,Akua Georgina was found hanging with a table lace cover in a metal container,located in front of her family residence at Odumasi Zongo,on the sunset of Sunday, February 21, 2021.
According to Kofi Adofo Asante ,brother of the deceased,after she returned from church,her mother told her to wash her clothes.So she was seen around preparing to do so and was used to visit the metal container to pick some items occasionally.
Surprisingly,she was later found hanging in the metal container.He narrated, that his sister did not show any signs that she was worried or that she would commit suicide.
He alleged that upon an initial body examination at the morgue, fluid suspected to be seminal fluid and droplets of blood was found to her private part and suspect someone might have had a carnal knowledge of her.
Meanwhile,the Konongo Divisional Command has began investigation into the matter.
