Working Committee for Otumfuo Lottery Game Presents Report to Asantehene

A working Committee made up of representatives of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) led by Hon. Kofi Osei-Ameyaw, representatives of State Enterprise Commission (SEC) led by Hon. Stephen Asamoah Boateng and representatives of the Asante Monarchy led by Nana Akwasi Prempeh on Friday, 31st May, 2019 presented a Report on the Otumfuo Lottery Game to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for his approval and blessings. Also in the meeting was a representative of the National Association of Private Lotto Operators and Agents in the person of Mr. Frank Adjei to support the laudable Otumfuo Lottery Game.

The Working Committee is responsible to the Asantehene for the successful implementation of the Otumfuo Lottery Game. The Game would be in a form of Scratch Cards, Number Game and Raffles.

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was very impressed about the work done so far by the committee, and the King commended Hon. Kofi Osei-Ameyaw for his commitment towards the development of Ghana and Asanteman. According to Asantehene, this initiative of NLA would help to contribute in a meaningful way to the numerous development initiatives championed by the Otumfuo Charity Foundation across the country such as:
1. Quality healthcare delivery
2. Scholarships and Quality Education
3. Job Creation
4. Infrastructure
5. Otumfuo Mobile Learning Project (OMLP)
6. Social Welfare Support System.
7. Cultural heritage
8. Support for the Vulnerable, Aged and Orphans.

The Director-General of the NLA, Hon. Kofi Osei-Ameyaw reassured Asantehene that, the National Lottery Authority with the support of State Enterprise Commission, the Working Committee and other Stakeholders would do everything possible to ensure the successful roll out of the Otumfuo Lottery Game to the benefit of Asanteman and Ghana.

Hon. Asamoah Boateng also indicated that as a supervisory body of State Enterprises, he would ensure that such a laudable project by NLA under Kofi Osei-Ameyaw becomes a success.
