Flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party, (GFP) Akua Donkor is reported to have advised Agya Koo not to bank his hopes on his endorsement for victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming elections.
According to Akua Donkor, Agya Koo is a comedian whose aim is to entertain Ghanaians and not to engage in party politics.
“If Agya Koo says he is endorsing Nana Addo and has decided to be part of the losing party, he should go ahead but I must tell him that his endorsement will never make Nana Addo the President of Ghana.
“If he thinks he can use his comedy to win votes for Nana Addo then he should stop because Nana Addo won’t win in the elections and will never win in any elections. He should continue entertaining us because that is what he is good at” she asserted.
Speaking on Ashh fm’s afternoon show Key Note on Monday 3rd October 2016, the Kumawood actor chuckled over the comment by Akua Donkor and said they have been advised not to attack personalities but rather address issues.
He told Lord Inusah, host of the show that, Madam Akua Donkor is more comedienne than any of their members. “Who is a comedian in Ghana than Akua Donkor,” he asked
Agya Koo insisted that they did their endorsement because of the hardship situation Ghanaians are going through under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.
