Wassa Amenfi East MP Donates To Support Wassa Japa Police Station Project.

 

Chiefs and residents of Wassa Japa in Wassa Amenfi East municipal of the Western region, have breathed a sight of relief over MP’s support towards the construction of a police station in the area.

 

Some of the residents mentioned that the growing level of robbery and petty criminal activities in Wassa Japa has become a headache for them hence, the gesture by the Wassa Amenfi East MP Hon. Nicholas Amankwah to aid the construction of a police station was timely.

The member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi East, Nicholas Amankwah donated 150 bags of cement and two thousand Ghana cedis (gh¢2,000) to assist in the construction of a police station at Wassa Japa.

Mr. Nicholas Amankwah made the donation during the enstoolments of the New Chief of Wassa Japa, Nana Atta Baah II over the weekend.

 

He indicated that, the gesture was part of his corporate social responsibilities towards institutions, individuals and organisations to achieve their goals even when his party, the NDC is in opposition.

Whilst commending the Chiefs for the project, the first term NDC MP said he was touched by the Community’s initiative to maintain peace, law and order in the community and offered to assist to achieve its dream.

The MP who is affectionately called in his political cycle as ‘Home Boy’ said, policing was a shared responsibility and urged stakeholders, assembly members and the residents in the area to assist.

The MP addressing the gathering, he reiterates that his office is poised to developing Wassa Japa and Amenfi East with infrastructure and social amenities in the area therefore, he’s calling for a collective efforts to support his development plan for the constituency.

To this end, he has urged the people of Wassa Amenfi East to have confidence in his leadership as better days were ahead.

 

Nicholas Amankwah assured residents of his preparedness to continue to work closely with the assembly members and the chiefs to ensure rapid transformation of Amenfi East by implementing pragmatic projects and activities that would insure to the benefit of the people, noting that what was important was for the Chiefs to support his political ambition.

Home Boy also asked the people in the municipality to live in peace with one another as he continue to warn the constituents to desist from politicizing development in the area.
