Charles Nii Armah Mensah, better known by his stage name, Shatta Wale has declared he will no longer accept invites to interview on radio shows or on TV unless he is being paid to do so. According to the musician, he was in no way aided by these channels during his rise to fame, as there were only two DJs that acknowledged him; DJ Lord Dash and DJ Mctontoh. Shatta Wale’s displeasure follows the recent interview he did on GHOne’s The Pundit program, where he had apparently asked for a truce between himself and Charter House, the management company behind the Ghana Music Awards. During the interview, the artiste had apparently asked to be reinstated in the award scheme of the VGMA’s, adding he would want to be present at the next event in 2018.
“I have to be there. VGMA is like National Anthem. It is God bless our homeland Ghana erhh. I have apologised so many times and don’t know how people want this thing to be done but you know me I wish we take this case from court because it is entertainment,” Shatta Wale said.
