Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector General of Police, has reaffirmed that the police and other security services are prepared to collaborate with the Electoral Commission (EC) and all other relevant parties to hold peaceful elections in December of this year.
Prior to the polls, he promised that the EC would work with the police to resolve any of their security concerns.”We’re here to listen to you and comprehend the security-related worries you have in front of the elections so that we can arrange to address them all.

During a meeting with the Election Management Body (EMB) at the EC offices on Thursday, the IGP gave assurances that all of their security concerns would be addressed before the polls.
