The burial rites of the late Queen mother of the Asanteman, Nana Afia Kobi Serwa Ampem II saw the display of rich Ghanaian culture from across the country.
The funeral rites for the late Asantehemaa begun on Monday, January 16, and was scheduled to last until Thursday January 19, when she was buried at night at the Breman Royal Mausoleum (Ban Mu) after a brief stopover at the Bantama Royal Mausoleum where some traditional rites will be performed.
Among the many spectacular displays of rich Ghanaian tradition, that were widely circulated on social media, are the videos of two little girls dancing to the sound of the drums in true, Ashanti, Ghanaian rhythm.
The two dancing girls, whose fascinating dance dazzled the crowd because of their age and wonderful display are only a fraction of the amazing show of pure, true Ghanaian culture at the burial rites of the Asantehemaa.

Nana Afia Kobi Serwa Ampem II passed away on the 15th of November, 2016 .
She is the mother of the Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu II and has reigned for 39 years. She was enstooled in 1977 as the 13th Queen mother of the Asante Kingdom after the late Nana Serwa Nyarko II.
