Christian Kwabena Andrews, widely known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom and the founder of Life Assembly Worship Centre, has labeled the notions of heaven and hell as fraudulent.
Speaking on Oyerepa TV on July 26, 2024, he dismissed these concepts outright, stating, “I don’t believe in heaven; I don’t believe in hell. There’s nothing like that. It’s a big scam.”
Osofo Kyiri Abosom argued that belief in the afterlife is a distraction from the urgent need for national development.
He suggested that focusing on improving Ghana’s present conditions is more practical than anticipating a promised paradise.
“Heaven is on earth,” he asserted, stressing that neglecting national progress in favor of waiting for an afterlife is a waste of time.
He also criticized religious teachings about the afterlife, claiming that such doctrines are false.
“Whatever pastors tell you about the afterlife is a lie,” he said. “Once a person dies, they are dead forever and there’s nothing beyond that.”
