The Chief Executive Officer(CEO)of Tabi Group of Companies has made a donation of vehicular batteries to the Asante Akyem Central Municipal Command of the Ghana National Fire Service(GNFS)
The presentation was made by Mr Aboagye Mensah Bonsu,on behalf of the CEO,Mr Tabi Jones.Mr Aboagye Mensah told Virgin City Radio’s reporter,Barima Kwasi Poku that,this will not be the last time that they will embark on such a philanthropic activity.The donation worth about GHC3,000.00.
He said,”We decided to attend promptly to their appeal for vehicular batteries to make their fire tender works effectively.We have closely monitored how helpful you have been to the municipality and it’s catchment areas and we commend you for that.Tabi Group of Companies will do all we can to help the service whenever the need arises.”The Group consists of Steward Hospital and Mortuary,Petrol Bay and others.
The Divisional Fire Commander-In-Charge of Asante Akyem Central,North,South and Bosome Freho,Mr Emmanuel Mensah,who received the items expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the group for their kind gesture.
He used the opportunity to appeal to other NGOs,philanthropists and cooperate institutions to come to their aid with other materials like vehicular tyres to assist them in their operations,though the government is doing its best to resource the service.
He stressed that the service will work hard to reduce the fire cases under his jurisdiction to the barest minimum through public education and other measures.
Personnel present during the presentation included Mr Nafew Iddrisu,2nd-In-Command,Mr Sampson Asare-Operations officer and Mr Alex Otu-Training officer.
