Subin Cons:MP Ridicules Suspended Party Executives As His Protege Leaks Their Confidential Petition Letter

The drama at Subin Constituency in the Ashanti Region continues between the Member of Parliament Hon Eugene Boakye Antwi and party executives he suspended.

Available, Information indicates the MP refused to honour invitation by the Ashanti regional disciplinary committee to hear his side of the story, so the aggrieved or affected suspended party executives sent their grievances to National headquarters and a protege of the Member of Parliament in Subin leaked the confidential petition onto their Constituency platforms and other media space.

We the undersigned eligible members of the New Patriotic Party in Subin Constituency in accordance with article 4(6) (II) of the party constitution which to appeal against a decision made by the Ashanti Regional Disciplinary committee.

In letters dated between June,2018 to March,2019 a total number of 73 Subin Constituency delegates which includes but not limited to constituency coordinators as well as Polling Station officers have been suspended indefinitely on grounds we believe are unmerited and do not conform to party laid down procedures and structures.

Therefore after exhausting our first option under Article 4(6)(I), which yielded no results,we have Now formed a coalition to follow the appeal procedure in Article 4(6) to resolve this amicably.

In addition, it is important to note that each of the undersigned have and continues to contribute immensely to the success of this party and are proud members in good standing.

We also know for a fact that the architect of our Party, when writing the magnificent words of our constitution signed a promissory note to which every Member is to fall heir and therefore the confidence we have in our Party constitution that we will not be left behind.

Furthermore, on the basis of the party’s democratic will, and per Article 4(6)(ii) of our Party constitution, we have resorted to extend this to be resolved by the good office of the party General Secretary.
