Chief Executive Officer of the Consumer Protection Agency of Ghana, Mr Kofi Capito has said things are not going well in Ghana for everyone, including members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking on Citi TV monitored by MyNewsGH.com, the Consumer protection chief said he’s had key members of the ruling NPP admit to him that all is not well in the country and that they have given up on their own government.
“I have had people come to me who are strong supporters of the current regime and will tell me Mr Kapito “yabamu abu ooooo” to wit “We have regretted oooooh… Enko yie”.
Kofi Kapito was reacting to the Afrobarometer report by the Center for Democratic Development (CDD).
Apathy
Most Ghanaians are undecided on which of the two major political parties to vote for in the upcoming 2020 elections, the Afrobarometer found.
The Afrobarometer survey which questioned citizens on which of the parties they would vote for should the elections be held tomorrow, discovered that more than four in 10 Ghanaians will not vote, don’t know how to vote or are not comfortable with disclosing that information.

The responses in the above categories outnumbered the numerous supporters who openly declared their loyalty to the two major political parties; National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The survey results also show that people who said they would not vote have increased by 6% since 2017 and has been the highest since 2008.
Kofi Kapito believes the results of the survey is grounded in reality because generally, things are not going well in Ghana.
