A former Upper East Regional Minister and senior lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) has advised
outspoken lawmaker for Assin Central to stop peddling falsehood about institutions he has little or no knowledge about.
According to him, facts about current furore of the UEW bandied around by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) firebrand are nothing but untruths advising him to always endeavor to get his facts right before running to town with issues.
His response follows the legislators public commentary about the UEW and matters arising.

Total for all 10 projects is GH¢184,000,000.00
In all, over 30 companies were invited to tender competitively for these 10 projects. There is no limit placed on the number of contracts that any company can win. The criteria for winning was strictly “the lowest evaluated bidder”. These includes assessment of equipment, Financial and human capacity.
Where did Kennedy Agyepong get the GH¢500 million from?
Kennedy says GHS500 million contract was signed with one single contractor in November 2016 alone, when the truth is that the total value of all contracts from December 2015 to December 2016 with all contractors is only GH¢184 million.
He again says the North Campus Road was constructed at GHS8 million when the fact is the project cost only GH¢4.6 million.

Kennedy again said Prof Avoke signed the MoU and the PVs he was holding and mentioning April 2015 when the fact is that Prof Avoke became VC on 1st October 2015. Hon. Kennedy Agyepong please check the signature that approved the PVs you are holding. Also check the dates on the MoU and the PVs and compare them with 1st October 2015 when Prof Avoke became VC
