Spokesman for Mahama and Bawumia engages in social media banter after seeing a video of NDC supporters burning clothes.

Denis Miracles Aboagye, the spokesperson for the Bawumia 2024 campaign, and Beatrice Annan, a member of the Mahama 2024 campaign’s communications team, are teasing each other on social media in response to a video that shows some irate NDC supporters burning the shirts of the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.

In the video, the incensed youngsters set fire to NDC items while charging Asiedu Nketiah, the party’s national chairman, with prejudice.

Dennis Miracles Aboagye published the video on his social media site with the intention of proving that it is representative of serious divisions within the NDC’s membership.

“Everyone is campaigning in peace; you alone should go and run a little campaign and come; you are stirring up trouble among your own people.”

They are aware that the former president’s chances are slim. The Bawku youth are expressing their rage and stating they don’t trust him. Cast your vote against him. He is dishonest and inconsistent,” certain passages of his statement said.

Reacting to Miracles Aboagye’s attempt to utilize the video to, in her opinion, revive Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign, Beatrice Annan chastised them.

The statement from the Bawku Central Member of Parliament’s office that followed gave an explanation of the incidents’ reasons.

“Masa, stop the mischief and focus on your dead campaign. These young people are only angry because they didn’t get to see their idol, the Nation Builder, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, yesterday. Their anger stems from their love for JM, not the gibberish you are writing here.

“Below is a statement addressing their concerns by the MP for Bawku Central:

“I have seen a video of some supporters of the NDC in Natinga angrily burning NDC paraphernalia. The anger of the youth stems from my inability to ensure that the flagbearer stopped at grandfather Gumah’s residence in Natinga as part of his campaign in the Bawku Central Constituency,” part of the statement reads.
