Information reaching the front desk of AkosuaBoatemaa for GHupdates indicates that One hundred or more workers for the media giants E.I.B Network is set to be laid off. This displeasing action will be taken for the reason that, the income generated in the company is not enough as such management won’t be able to pay most of it workers.
This is not the first time a media house has laid off most of it workers but it will be very surprising and devastating on the side of a media house who has most of the influential and skilled presenters.
Some media presenters whose names has appeared as part of the list includes; Radio and Television Presenter Jay Forley who doubles as the Manager for Ghanian Hip life artist Bisa K’dei and currently the host of Air Marshalls on GHone Tv, Morning Show host, Presenter and Programs Manager for GHone Tv Kafui Dey, Host for ‘Yediem’ on Kasapa 102.3fm, Ben Duker including top DJ’s like DJ Laposta, DJ Perfect, DJ Nyami and Ga Gizo with the rest yet to be disclosed.
Excellence in Broadcasting (E.I.B) Network is a big media group, operating across all platforms. On radio, there is Starr FM, Live FM, Kasapa FM, Ultimate Radio, Agoo FM, Abusua FM and Empire FM. The E.I.B acquired a television license for free – to – air channel in 2014. It now runs GHone TV and Agoo TV.
Its online platforms includes; Starrfmonline.com, Kasapaonline.com, Livefmonline.com and Ultimatefmonline.com. Aside that it also owns The Heritage Newspaper. The Network also has under it umbrella the Empire Group of Companies which comprises Empire Entertainment and Empire Records.
The founder and C.E.O of Empire Entertainment Nathan Kwabena Adisi known widely as Borla Ray an was later acquired by Dr. Kwabena Duffour who is the owner and founder of Excellence in Broadcasting Network.
