Report bribery suspicion to Police – Kweku Baako to NPP

Editor in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, is urging the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to hand over the party’s bribery allegations against President Mahama to the Police for investigations.

At a press conference on Tuesday, the NPP alleged that President John Mahama and his brother, Ibrahim Mahama, tried bribing Bugri Nabu, Northern Regional Chairman of their party to portray the NPP flagbearer, Nana Addo as someone who dislikes Northerners.

According to the NPP, Nabu was offered a brand new V6 Mitsubishi, a brand new V8 Land Cruiser and GH¢3.3 million to resign from the party and paint Nana Addo as a dictator and damage him.

Speaking as a panelist on Peace FM’s kokorokoo morning show on Wednesday, Mr. Baako was of the view that the NPP should go beyond politics and propaganda and complain to the police for criminal investigations to be established.

“If this is bribery I think we should give it to the police to investigate further because there is a car and there is money involved as well as documents to show”, he observed.

According to him, there are two options involved, either he returns the car and money or he complains to the police for investigations.

“Unless the press conference is for political and propaganda purposes, then we can leave it at that. But I think we should go beyond that”, he said.

The Editor-in-Chief indicated that it is only a criminal investigations which will uncover the truth out of the allegations.
