Several people are feared dead in an accident at Ampomakrom Friday morning near Kintampo in the Brong-Ahafo region.
The accident occurred when two VVIP buses carrying separate passengers from Guru to Kumasi collided on the highway.
Adom News reporter, Wiafe Akenten who visited the scene said one of the buses caught fire and burnt beyond repairs.
He indicated that, the burnt bus carrying over 50 passengers had only 11 survivors who are currently receiving treatment at the Kintampo Municipal Hospital.
However, Wiafe said most of the passengers in the second bus survived the gory accident.
He said the charred bodies would be very difficult to identify as family members throng to the scene.
Kintampo Divisional Police Commander, ACP Joseph Antwi Gyawu, told Joy News Bono East Region Correspondent, Anas Sabbit that preliminary investigations reveal the two buses, one with registration number GT 5694 18 and the other GT 3916 17, each had over 50 passengers on board.
