Over 200 NPP Activist in Chamba and its environs in Bimbila Constituency in the Northern Region Defects to NDC

Over 200 NPP Activist in Bimbila Constituency in the Northern Region of the Republic of Ghana have defected to the NDC.

This took place on 9/12/2018 when the Northern Regional deputy youth organizer for NDC and some constituency executives together with some other stake holders of the NDC within Chamba and it’s catchment areas were invited to a meeting in Chamba town by some popular NPP members.

The Constituency Communication Officer said that, it was so amazing that the defectors who were well known to be NPP members came out in their numbers to openly state vehemently that they have regretted voting for honourable Nitiwul and his president.

About 180 people confessed vividly that they are denouncing their membership in NPP and are ready to render their support for the NDC for victory 2020.
The people were accepted and ordained by the regional deputy organizer as full members of NDC. Most of the defectors also confessed that to them, they are back home to join what was already theirs. According to them, they were NDC members before they were deceived to join Nitiwul and NPP. However, they have realized that ‘all that glitters is not gold’.

They have also realized that no matter what one is going through, he/she should not reject his/her home. ‘A bird may fly in the air for long but when it dies, the bones shall only come to rot on the land and not in the air’. To them, they are only back to their father’s house for good and will do their best to help the NDC recapture power from the NPP come 2020.

Mr. Ngarigma Pious ( NDC communication officer, Bimbila Constituency) again said he and his Executives shall see the way forward as they work hard to get more of the people onto their side.
Mr. Tabra Barnabas who is the leader and one of the defectors confirmed the defection story. He again said that he and his people have now seen the light that is NDC and they are never turning back to NPP.
