NPP RACE: DR. BAWUMIA STANDS TALL AMONG ALL 10 ASPIRANTS – EASTERN REGIONAL MINISTER.
The Eastern Regional Minister, Seth Kwame Acheampong has urged delegates of the New Patriotic Party [NPP] to vote overwhelmingly for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 26th August special delegates conference of the NPP.
Speaking over the weekend to a huge crowd in Mpraeso, Acheampong said being the Regional Minister and a 3-time MP, he knows all 10 candidates vying to become the party’s Flagbearer and believes Dr. Bawumia stands tall among them.
The Regional Minister said Dr. Bawumia has served the NPP well and it is time to reward him by making him the party’s flagbearer.
Meanwhile, the campaign team for another NPP flagbearer hopeful, Alan Kyeremateng has urged party delegates to ignore threats and intimation from certain quarters as they prepare for the presidential primaries.
The Spokesman for the campaign, Yaw Buabeng Asamoah told the press that pronouncement by the Asantehene and the Ejisumanhene during the campaign’s recent visits to vote rulers pointed to the Golden Stool support for Alan Kyeremateng.
