The organiser for the ruling New Patriotic Party in Asokwa Constituency within the Ashanti Region, Hon Eric Osei has resigned from his position to enable him contest as an Independent candidate in the December Polls.
Hon Osei has been the Assembly member for Atonsu Agogo North electoral area since 2010 and has served in various leadership capacities within the constituency and Ghana.
In explaining the reasons for his resignation, Hon Osei stated in his letter that it is “personal and beyond him”.

Dear Sir,
LETTER OF RESIGNATION FROM THE POSITION OF CONSTITUENCY ORGANIZER
I humbly write to inform you of my decision to resign from my position as the constituency organizer of the party in Asokwa Constituency.
I was duely elected to serve the party as the constituency organizer but personal reasons beyond my control will not permit me to continue and end my term of office.
I am grateful to the party, the constituency executives, polling station executives and the entire members of Asokwa NPP for giving me the opportunity to serve in the best political party in Ghana.
