It is with heavy heart that We express our condolences to the bereaved families of the Seven young zongo men, who were killed mysteriously by the police at Manso Nkwanta as suspected armed robbers in the narration of the police and otherwise in the naration of the families of four of the seven and the asawase zongo community.
We condemn in no unceratin terms the shoot to kill approach by the police hence,
We believe the subsequent public outrage is justifiable.
However, The Nasara leadership call on our zongo youth to maintain restraint, Cooperate with The Government Team currently in Asawase and the independent investigative committee as we are assured that justice, in all essence of the word, will be served through the independent investigative commitee that The vice president Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia has sanctioned.
The lost of seven innocent lives will not pass lightly. It is in trying moments like these, that we get to rewrite the zongo story through our conduct. We pray that we all, even in our dissatisfaction, set aside belligerency to make peace prevail.
Let’s remind ourselves of these inspiring words of our beloved prophet: (SAW)“ Do not seek to engage in warfare, ask Allah for peace and security. And remember to demonstrate patience..”
The best we can do for our lost brothers, now and forever, is to always remember them in our prayers, that Allah showers his mercy on them and grant them Janna. May they attain the status of martyrdom in His place as they are matyrs for us here on earth. Aameen.
Signed
