The former president John Dramani Mahama is on his two-day campaign visit to the Western North Region, which he has met the constituency executives and branch executives in the Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai Constituency and has appeal to them to vote for him to lead NDC to snatch power from the NPP in the 2024 general elections.

Addressing the delegates at Sefwi Tanoso at Pentecost Church, he chided all National Democratic Congress (NDC) party faithfuls to work hard and win massively come 2024.

Mr. John Dramani Mahama stated that he has heard former minister of environment, science, technology and innovation, Professor Kwabena Frimpong Boateng expressed that the NPP was behind the galamsey activities and also alleged that some bigwigs from Jubilee House was among some persons doing the galamsey activities.

Former President John Dramani Mahama said that for Professor Frimpong Boateng to come out boldly to name some persons signifies that the truth has finally come out which they(NPP) has devasted our forest reserves, when we did not witness these galamsey activities under former president Kufour, Mills, J.J Rawlings and now causing deforestation to our forest reserves and at the same time arresting some Ghanaians and living their party folks.

He alleged that the community mining is being done by MPs, MMDCEs and other government officials.

Mr.John Dramani Mahama, added that when the NDC was in power, they were given cocoa farmers bonuses, free fertilizers and adjusting producer price, but this current government has failed woefully to assist cocoa farmers and buying inputs on high price.

Notwithstanding, the Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai Constituency Chairman, Yaw Berimah pledges 100% endorsement to former president John Mahama that they’ll vote for him massively and is on cause for uniting the grassroot to win back Bibiani Ahwianso Bekwai Constituency seat.
