There have been growing agitations among Ghanaian football followers for the Ghana Football Association to sack the Israeli after a run of poor performance in Black Stars game in recent times.
They argue it will be suicidal for Avram Grant to lead the Ghana team to the Upcoming AFCON to be staged in Gabon hence should be replaced with a sharp tactically inclined brain.
This has over the past few days been an agenda in meetings of the executive committee of the Ghana Football Association whether to take a decision on the former Chelsea manager before the AFCON in January.
George who also doubles up as the Vice president of the football association addressing the media on the future of the Israeli affirmed “nothing has changed” Avram is still in charge and will be in charge until after the AFCON in February 2017 where his contract will run out.
“I have to be very honest with you. As at now, we haven’t arrived at any conclusion that we should sack him” Said Afriyie.
