bony’s father has denied rumours that he killed his daughter for rituals – According to him, he could not have done any such thing to her daughter whom she lived so much The father of the late Dancehall artiste Ebony Reigns has described as baseless rumours that he sacrificed his daughter for rituals.
According to Nana Opoku Kwarteng, he who would not engage in any such thing against any human not to talk of his own beloved daughter. “How can I be responsible for Ebony’s death? Am I God? Nobody will have a daughter like [Ebony] and will be responsible for her death,” he stated.
There have been a lot of rumours flying around since Ebony’s death with some suggesting that Nana Kwarteng was a leading member of an occultic group and had sacrificed his daughter for more power. The rumours of Ebony’s father using her for ritual sacrifice deepened when Ebony’s mortal remains were buried in a black coffin. The rumour mill had it that the colour of the casket was all part of the sacrifice and even though Nana Kwarteng had denied those allegations, the rumours have not completely gone away.
Speaking on Accra-based Onua FM in his latest interview, Nana Kwarteng re-emphasized that he only chose the particular coffin for Ebony because it looked nice and not for any spiritual reasons. Nana Kwarteng further denied being an occultist revealing that he was a Christian and a member of Assemblies of God Church who would not go against the Bible. Born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, Ebony Reigns died in a tragic accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi Highway on February 8.
Ebony who was at the height of her very short music career emerged as the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year for 2018 becoming both the first female and posthumous winner of the award.
