One of the leading contenders in National Democratic Congress (NDC) race, Prof Joshua Alabi’s name was not found in the voter register when he went to a polling station in Krowor Constituency to vote.
After several minutes of searching for his name in the register, the polling officers could not find the name of the former Vice Chancellor of University of Professional Studies (UPS).
This led to the building up of tension at the voting centre.
GhanaNewsPage.Com reporter at the polling station reported that the Polling Officers agreed that they should find a means of getting him to cast a ballot.
They therefore wrote his name with pen in the register and agreed that he should be allowed to cast his ballot.
His wife has however cast her ballot since her name was found in the register.
About 1050 delegates are expected to cast ballots at that centre.
