A message posted by one of John Mahama’s boys in a WhatsApp group caused a near exchange of blows at no mean a place than the solemn one week celebration of former Vice President of Ghana and member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Paa Kwasi Amissah Arthur.
NDC Members and well-wishing who gathered for Amissah Arthur’s one week at the Ridge Church yesterday on a solemn occasion saw the confrontation when one Roland Mahamaba, a loyalist of John Mahama ‘part 2’ was approached by former National Security Advisor under Mahama who has since fallen out with his former boss, Baba Kamara, questioning Mahama’s boy on why he was sharing ‘malicious’ WhatsApp messages about him on ‘NDC Platforms’.
The intervention of other big men averted what would have been a bloody confrontation.
Mr Roland Mahamaba, a staunch NDC member has said he has reported the incident to the police as his images were taken by some boys of the former National Security Advsior, Baba Kamara and he is afraid they will deal with him later physically or spiritually.
Mahama’s boy Roland called the attack a “nefarious attack on an innocent soul”, on his Facebook wall.
According to him, he is innocent of the charges leveled against him by Mr Kamara.
Narrating what happened at the event, he said he saw people pointing him out to the former National Security capo who was about leaving the venue but stopped his car and came down to face ‘the small boy around John Mahama.’
“I find it extremely disappointing and callous at the attacks at my personality by no less a person but Alhaji Baba Kamara(Former National Security Advisor).
It’s alien to me that today, one becomes the automatic originator of a write up simply because I shared same.” He wrote.
“What happens to the content thereafter? Again let me put it on record that I’m not a “small boy around JM (John Mahama)”, as you described me, Sir. I’m just a party foot-soldier of the great NDC.” The NDC foot soldier added.
“I’m deeply hurt particularly because of how your allies managed to convince you to put my name on your list of wanted persons to the extent that I was hand pointed to you and you got down from your car and attacked me.
“And to those who were taking pics of me for whatever purpose known to them, I am by this write up informing them that a formal complain has been made against them and today’s attack. They will personally be held liable should any misfortune happen to me. And a final reminder let us remember that we are all mortals: if you get rid of me today, that will never make you immortal.” He went further.
