The acting Public Affairs Manager of the Youth Employment Authority Awal Mohammed, has disclosed that he suspects opposition elements are strongly behind the intended demonstration by some purported beneficiaries of the YEA.
Mr Awal who issued a statement last Wednesday explained on NYANSAPC, a socio political programme on Agootv hosted by Kwaku Owusu Adjei that argument s so far advanced by the purported group is preposterous. He confirmed that, payment was suspended in March to allow for audit and head count of beneficiaries at post.

Management has since then paid the June arrears while the second (final) tranche is being worked on and likely to be paid soon.
He maintained that the fallacious argument being espoused by opposition elements will in no way derail managements’ resolve to improve standards and welfare of the beneficiaries.
The acting PR head advised beneficiaries to channel all grievances through their regional managers to for redress.
He hinted that plans are in place to recruit 80,000 unemployed youths in line with Nana Addo’s agenda of reducing unemployment.
