Nana Aba missed out on 100 Most Influential Women in Ghana

To mention or list the Top 20 most influential women in Ghana and not enlist Nana Aba Anamoah is a travesty – not to talk about 100, some can argue!

This portal, www.entertainmentgh.com has noted that, some astute female personalities were shunned in the compilation of the list of the 100 Most Influential Women in Ghana, organized by WomanRising, a non-profit organization.

The omission of Nana Aba Anamoah is a bit confounding, considering how impactful she’s been since moving to GHOne TV, where she has projected the political talk show, ‘State of Affairs’ , as well as the station’s news programme, ‘GHOne TV News’.

Surprisingly, fellow ladies within the EIB Network, the same firm Nana Aba works, were listed; including the likes of Berla Mundi (Live FM & GHOne), Peace Hyde (GHOne), Anita Erskine (Starr FM), Naa Askorkor (Starr FM & GHOne) and Jeremie Van Garshong (Live FM).

Other notable names missing from the list are Yvonne Okoro, an award-winning actor/producer and famed director, Leila Djansi.

The likes of Akorfa Adjeani Asiedu, Lydia Forson and Yvonne Nelson were some of the female actors who made the list.

Commenting on the list, Ekow Mensah, the founder of WomanRising said that women form 51% of Ghana’s population and as the majority; their impact and influence on Ghana’s economy, commerce and people cannot be over emphasized.
