Offei Noah, a 35-year-old member of the Okyeman Environmental Protection Taskforce, was shot and killed in an incident at Asuaba, close to Adeiso, in the Eastern Region.
They went to Adeiso to guard a 2,500-acre oil plantation company whose properties were being destroyed by some of the locals.

The incident occurred on Wednesday night during the intense downpour.
D.M. Ofori Atta, the state secretary of Akyem Abuakwa State, expressed his amazement to DGN Online about the unjustified attack and death of a taskforce member.
He stated that although the Adeiso District Police Command has been notified of the situation, the Akyem Abuakwa traditional council is hoping for a thorough investigation and prosecution of the offenders.
