Medeama owner Moses Armah puts club up for sale

Medeama owner Moses Armah has put the club up for sale saying he is demotivated to continue running the Ghana Premier League club.

Armah is particularly peeved after his midfield Kwesi Donsu was overlooked by Black Stars coach Avram Grant for this month’s World Cup qualifiers.

He has given the first option to sponsors Goldfields Ghana Darmang and Ghana Manganese Company (GMC) so the club remains in the community.

“I’m tired of running Medeama. In addition to that there’s no motivation in football,” Armah told the Graphic Sports.

“I want to sell Medeama to any interested investor. I’m not interested in partners who want to buy percentage shares.”

Armah acquired Kumasi-based Kessben Football Club in 2010 and then moved the team to Tarkwa for their Ghana Premier League matches.
