The Eastern corridor road is an achievement of former president John Dramani Mahama which he included in his green book.
The road which pass through Nkwanta south towards the northern region, sees an underpass constructed in Nkwanta township with the mind set of helping children and other people who are not strong enough to pass through anytime the road becomes congested.

The purpose which the facility has been constructed has now change to be the household of mosquitoes, snakes and other livestock’s.
Speaking in an interview with some residents around the facility, indicated that, the mosquitoes from the facility are giving them sleepless nights and everyday snakes visit them in their homes from the facility which is making life miserable for them.

They are therefore calling the government and well meaning people to come and do something with the facility for their good.
