Mahama ‘chopped’ Ghana’s money during his reign – Afia Schwarzenegger

Controversial TV and radio personality, Valentina Nana Afia Agyeiwaa well known as Afia Schwarzenegger has said, former Prez John Dramani Mahama only came to spend to Ghanaians money when he was president of the country.

According to her, despite she looking up to Mahama as a father she won’t deny the facts that Mahama became president because of the money the country possessed. She expressed that Mahama although spent the country’s money, he as well utilized the money in other sectors for the benefit of the country.

In an interview with Zionfelix on the ‘Celebrity Ride’ , the actress disclosed that she is neutral when it comes to politics and emphasized on not supporting or campaigning for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as some Ghanaian’s think but rather she supported Mahama who was a flag bearer of the NDC.

‘’I’m not in any political party and didn’t campaign for any NDC party but I rather campaign for my father Mahama” she said

She further added that no politician in Ghana contest for the interest of the people in the country but they rather go into power to enrich themselves and their families.

“Do you people think we have a politician who is coming to do well for the country…? They are all there to enrich themselves” she said

The actress supported her claims by stating that Ghanaian lawyer and politician, Freddie Blay was eligible enough to supply his constituency with 275 buses whiles Ghanaians lacked ambulance in the hospitals.

When quizzed about her favourite politician so far in the government of NDC, she says, Ex-Prez Jerry John Rawlings was the best candidate because during his reign he ensured the sanity of the country which according to her Ghanaians lacked.

Afia lamented that democracy is a disease in the country because any individual does what pleases him in the country and therefore said,“I don’t have any ambitions to become president because I will steal people’s money’

The TV host in the past shown massive support to the former president John Mahama during and after the election. Meanwhile, Afia was in a messy divorce with estranged husband Lawrence Abrokwa, whom she filled a suit against him for the threat of harm and assault, after a video was leaked online over an alleged cheating scandal. Afia Schwar has vowed to raise awareness about the need for women especially to rise up against their abusers at all time.
