Embattled Deputy National Communication officer, Kwaku Boahen, has denied news of him being dragged from the studios of an Accra-based radio station as false and vile propaganda.
Mr. Boahen, who says he does not drink alcoholic, in rebuttal to the publication, said the video attached to the story was “edited” and given the “wrong caption to smear my person”.
Below is his full reaction:
My attention has been drawn to a maliciously edited video accompanied by a false write-up being circulated by the NPP and their assigns on Social media and I will like to set the records straight.
I was invited for a programme and I arrived earlier than the time scheduled for the programme so as I was waiting outside and listening to the station, I could not tolerate the lies being spewed by Adomako Baafi who I understand had bought airtime for that purpose so I walked in uninvited and sought to rebut and for the producer to call him to order.
After making my point, the producer pleaded that I allowed the programme to continue since the programme I was invited for had not commenced yet.
The NPP guys clearly felt irritated and outraged like their President and so have edited the said video with the wrong caption to smear my person. Let us not fall for their cheap lies.
Thank you
Kwaku Boahen, Deputy National Communication officer
