The Manhyia Divisional Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a 28-year-old alleged cyber fraudster commonly referred to as Sakawa in local parlance for sodomizing a 21-year-old who is currently battling for his life at the Mahyia Government Hospital.
Owusu Boakye was allegedly sodomized by the suspect only identified as Baafi on Sunday June 30, 2019 at Dischemso, a suburb of the Kumasi Metropolis.
After the incident, the suspect went into hiding until his arrest on Wednesday July 3, 2019 from his hideout upon a tip off.
It would be recalled that on Monday reported of how the victim currently on admission at the Manhyia Government Hospital revealed of how he was drugged and sodomized by an alleged ritualist.
According to the victim’s account, he and the suspect met at an event and struck some acquaintance.
His new found friend later asked they go to his house at Dichemso a suburb of Kumasi where he was given an energy drink suspected to have been laced with the drug that made him weak and eventually fell into deep sleep.
The victim revealed that the suspect took advantage and sodomized him severally but when he regain himself, he was told explicitly that he has only 5 days to live.
Fearing for his life despite being unable to walk properly and bleeding profusely, he rushed to Kumasi-based Otec Fm where he was taken to the hospital while a complaint was lodged with the police who confirmed the incident
