Kennedy Agyapong, prominent businessman and the member of Parliament for Assin Central constituency has lauded the efforts of Haruna Iddrisu, stating he has proved to be an excellent leader in parliament.
According to him, Mr Iddrius over the year exhibited excellent leadership traits and has performed quite well in his duties.
“Haruna is a very intelligent young man and has learnt a lot on the job. I was not surprised he was made the minority leader because this is someone who knows what he is about and can do a lot to help his side in parliament,” he stated.
However Kennedy Agyapong remarked that there are some under Mr Iddrisu’s leadership who may not appreciate his efforts as a leader, hence their attempt to mar him by creating the Boakye Agyarko bribe story.
While he hinted that the bribery accusation may have started from with the New Patriotic Party by members who have not yet been offered positions in the government, Mr Agyapong said their smear efforts will never see the light of day.
Kennedy Agyapong also denied any involvement in the bribery scandal and declared that any accusations thrown at him will be fought in court.
