A PASSIONATE APPEAL TO NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE(NEC) AND THE NATIONAL COUNCIL
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is known to be the beacon of Democracy and rule of law, thus it will be very undemocratic, unfair, and Suicidal if our Competent and Discerning delegates are not allowed to exercise their franchise in the Newly created and Mother regions.
The beauty of Democracy permits us as a party to exercise our franchise when the need arises, but it seems some personalities who seek to satisfy their selfish interest at the expense of the party are pushing some agenda which wouldn’t permit our Beloved Party Delegates to exercise their franchise once more .
It will be extremely dangerous and suicidal if our personal interests supersede the collective interest of the party. For instance, HOW CAN WE CREATE NEW BONO REGION without our Competent and Discerning Delegates voting ? This will be very unfair to every right thinking stakeholder of the party. I know for a fact that, some personalities who seek to satisfy their parochial interest at the Regional level are extremely against election to elect new executives to fill vacant positions, and are doing their very possible best to make it materialized, These same Selfish personalities are now using some Bigwig’s within our party to lobby so that there wouldn’t be any extraordinary conference in the newly created Bono Region but such an act as we all know will be very Suicidal and dangerous to a party which prides itself as the beacon of Democracy. Beside that, can our Competent and Discerning delegates and the party as a whole work to achieve victory 2020 if leaders are imposed on them? I guess your thought is right as mine .
Just last two weeks, our brothers in the opposition (NDC)led by Johnson Asiedu NKetia brought out all modalities/ guidelines for their extraordinary delegates conference. Positions Which were declared Vacant were also communicated to their party Faithfuls. For once, this is so beautiful and I must commend the NDC for such bold decision. Why can’t we do the same as a party to allow our cherished Delegates exercise their franchise as enshrined in our constitution and also curb people who want to satisfy their selfish interest ?
The Regional Chairmanship and other related positions must be declared vacant for a credible elections to be conducted in the Bono Region.
For unity to prevail and victory 2020 be assured, all newly created and mother regions must embark on election to elect competent executives to steer the affairs of NPP
