The deputy general secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Obiri Boahen has indicated that should the ruling government fail to fulfill their promises, he will resign from politics.
In a report by Rainbow Radio, according to Boahen, the NPP made assurances to the Ghanaian people to bring change, and if they failed to do so, it would cause some of them to leave politics.
“The NPP must deliver and God will help us to deliver. Ghana was at the cross roads and we needed someone to change the situation and Ghanaians listened to our message and voted for us. We have to deliver on our promises so that Ghanaians will not be disappointed,” he said.
Furthermore, Obiri Boahen has stated that he is not a crooked politician as some persons have claimed and such will not shame for president Mahama for his time in office.
He noted even though Mahama was incompetent as a leader, he still earned his (Boahen’s) respect.
He also stated that Mahama’s only attempt top empower women was when he appointed Madam Charlotte Osei as the first female Electoral Commissioner.
