“I will institute best teacher award in Bia West District” – Mustapha Amadu Tanko
Bia West NDC Parliamentary Aspirant, Mustapha Amadu Tanko, has pledged to institute ‘Bia Teachers Award Scheme’ in the district to motivate teachers in the area to give out their best if he becomes the Member of Parliament.
Mustapha Amadu Tanko is challenging the incumbent MP, Hon. Dr. Augustine Tawiah, in the May 13th primaries to represent the NDC in the Bia West constituency in Parliament.
In his pledge to the people, Mustapha Amadu Tanko says education will be one of his priorities if he becomes a Member of Parliament. In his view, education goes hand in hand with development, so whoever wants development must first tackle education.
As part of his manifesto to the people, he indicated that equipping basic schools with proper classroom blocks will be his focus, along with ensuring that teachers are motivated to give their best by rewarding them.
“I promise to beef up education by ensuring that basic schools have a proper classroom for teaching and learning. I shall constitute a “Best Teacher” award scheme in the district to motivate teachers to give out their best. This I shall deliver,” he stated.
