The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has descended heavily on the Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho, following his comments over the US defense cooperation agreement recently ratified by Parliament.
Koku Anyidoho has predicted of a civil revolt to unseat the Akufo-Addo administration.
Mr. Anyidoho believes a series of activities to unsettle the Akufo-Addo government take off on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 with a planned nationwide demonstration.
A pressure group Ghana First Patriots leading the demonstration in conjunction with the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) to protest the Ghana – US defense cooperation agreement recently ratified by Parliament.
Parliament on Friday ratified the agreement with the US to man some installations in Ghana and also allow unrestricted access to a host of facilities and wide-ranging tax exemptions to the United States Military.
“Somebody should tell Nana Akufo-Addo that history has a very interesting way of repeating itself,” the NDC firebrand said.
But commenting on the issue, Kennedy Agyapong warned Koku to desist from making inflammatory comment that will put the nation in disarray.
“Your threats won’t do anything so shut up Koku. Ghana is a very nice country and we don’t need insane people to make useless comments. Koku should stop making unnecessary comments about this US military issue.
“If you misbehave, I will be forced to deflate your stomach so that you can make sense when talking on national issues. I will discipline you if you continue that nonsense and I will take action and you will know that I am indeed mad” he stated.
