Film Producer, Michael Ola has disclosed that he didn’t receive any financial support from the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) to campaign for the party.
According to him, he funded most of the celebrities’ campaign all by himself, adding that he still has debt to pay.
Speaking with Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5FM, the former FIPAG PRO said many had the wrong perception that they were motivated financially.
“Many people were coming to me and wanting to join the NDC celebrity campaign but I didn’t respond to most of them because I realized they came because of money.” He added: “Truth is a matter of perceptive, I’m saying and I will say it time and time again that anyone who says he funded the celebrities’ campaign should make it known. In fact I suffered before I even got t-shirt the last week to elections. I owe a lot of people because of campaigning and supporting JM.”
According to him, the focus of the NDC celebrities was to retain political power for the party but was unsuccessful.
