Popular Kumawood actor Collins Oteng Duah popularly known as Komfo Kolege has disclosed an unfortunate incident he encountered in Abidjan.
According to the comic actor, he was in Abidjan during the first coup d’etat at age 19 and was locked in a room for almost five days due to a curfew.
He added that he was locked in the room with four other Ghanaians without food and water and were arrested by soldiers when they sneaked out to get food.
“Due to the curfew, we were indoors close to five days without food. There was a Ghanaian who sold food next door so we sneaked out to get food and were arrested by soldiers.
I was with four other Ghanaians and after a hot chase, we were all arrested. At that time, the government had ordered the soldiers to kill anyone they found outside so we were taken to an isolated place for questioning.
I told them I was a student from Ghana on an excursion and showed them my student ID card. The excuse the others gave were not reasonable to them so they were all killed. I was the only survivor”, he disclosed.
