National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential hopeful for 2020 elections; Stephen Atubiga has confidently sworn to stake his life on the line to prove that former President John Dramani Mahama is not corrupt.
The Two-time failed parliamentary candidate aspirant of the NDC in the Binduri constituency who was speaking exclusively with Boamah Darko, host of ‘Maakye’ educative show on Accra-based Hot93.9fm, could not hide his undying admiration for former president Mahama— describing him as a man who always stands by his word , hence he (Atubiga) can put his life on the line to prove that the former president is not corrupt:
“Mahama is incapable of involving himself in any act of corruption and i can open my chest and receive bullets for him(Mahama) on that…John Dramani is a listening President irrespective of your political colours– And I can tell you on authority that John Dramani is never corrupt..John Dramani will be one of the poorest presidents in this country if you put postmortem on his background and I can put my life on the line for this man and vow that his excellency John Dramani is never corrupt because I know him.” Stephen Atubiga courageously stated.
Mr Atubiga announced his presence on Ghana’s political scene when he contested the 2012 NDC parliamentary primary in the Binduri constituency but lost by three votes. He subsequently joined the party’s communications team and made headlines after he was sentenced together with Ken Kuranchie to three days in prison during the 2012 election petition hearing for contempt.
Determined to achieve his dream, Mr Atubiga made another failed attempt in 2015 to contest the 2016 parliamentary election on the ticket of the NDC in the Binduri constituency. Relentless on seeing the NDC retain power, he joined the party’s campaign team and toured the length and breadth of the country with then President Mahama.
