Yesterday, Sunday March 3, 2019, the lawmaker for the people of the Dormaa West Constituency , Hon. Ali Maiga Halidu honoured an invitation by the Nkrankwanta Catholic Parish Choir meeting and the Presbyterian Singing Band convention both held simultaneously at Yaakrom .
In his speech, he made a biblical allusion that if songs could break the walls of Jericho, then their songs and prayers would be needed in building better and conducive Ghana. He said, the NPP government has been in power for two years now but, there are clear evidences of a promising future for Dormaa West and Ghana as a whole.
He cited the Upgrade of the Nkrankwanta Poly clinic to a District Hospital with sixty bed capacity pediatric center (ongoing), the award of major roads and bridges in the constituency to contracts, the curbing of the “dumsor” menace, building of schools, police station and residency as examples.
He also met the heads of Northern Community( people from the five northern regions) at Krakom.
He advised them not to see themselves as strangers but natives who are ready to be United, peace loving and work hard for the betterment of the constituency and Mother Ghana.
The law maker reiterated his commitment to ensuring that, the constituency is developed under his tenure.
He was accompanied by, Bala Mohamed( organizer), Mary Kuma( Women’s org) Oppong k. Francis ( first chair ) and other executives
