GOV,T TASK TO SUPPORT COCOA FARMERS AFFECTED BY DISEASE@ ATWIMA: CHIEF ABDULLAI
The 2nd Runner Up Atwima Mponua District in 2017 and former 2010 Best Maize farmer who is also a Mpasatia Zongohene in the Atwima Mponua District Chief Abdullah Mohammed I has appeal to government under COCOBOD to come to the aid of 1000 Cocoa Farmers affected by Cocoa Swollen Shoot at Asakraka, Nkontomire,Kwame Dwaa,Mansaso,Asamang in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipal and Atwima Mponua District respectively with compensation and also rehabilitation as they are suffering.
He also hails Madam Leticia Darkowah Afrifa newly ( Nkawie District Cocoa Officer ) and her team for pace wake up to the COCOBOD to come to their aid as the cocoa disease has been long overdue and the consent by the COCOBOD has been delayed and if not curtailed would spread and affect more cocoa farms in the two assemblies and had this to say.
