 Head coach of Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko is of the view that the standard of football in the country has progressively waned over the last decade.Ghana football has witnessed a decline in fortune in recent times, with the quality of the local league being frequently questioned.
Kotoko coach Zdravko LogarusicCoach of thePorcupine Warriors,Zdravko Logarusic, who has had previous stints withAshanti GoldandKing Faisal, insists the level of football in the country has nosedived as compared to previous times.“There is stagnation in the level of football in Ghana,”the Kotoko coach is quoted as saying bySportscrusader.com.“
We used to dominate in Africa and football, but it is not like it used to be.“When I was here as a coach for the first time, the U-20 won the world cup, because the standard of football was very high. But it is not like that these days.  We are now struggling.
“I want to see the new generation rebuild the lost image.”TheCroatwas in charge when Kotoko defeatedLiberty Professionals2-1 in match-day one of the Ghana Premier League.
