GETFUND CLASSROOM PROJECT ABANDONED AT NTOMEM; STUDENTS STUDY WITH DOMESTIC ANIMALS
Queenmother of Ntomem in the Kwahu South Municipality of the Eastern Region, Nana Opokua II has pleaded with GetFund to come to their aid by constructing the classroom block they started about 2 yrs ago and have abandoned it at the foundation level.
She said a lot have been done by the traditional leaders to get the project back to construction but MCE said it’s not under the government but rather a GetFund project so she is urging GetFund to get the project done because it’s very sad looking at the difficulties the students are going through as they lack classrooms to study
Headteacher of Ntomem M/A Primary School Mr Richard Ampadu Sasu also said the school lack the needed classrooms block so some of the classes have been combined which is not helping quality education at all
He further called on Philanthropies, NGOs, Individuals to come to their aid to construct the classroom as the school is facing a lot of challenges
Moreover, the students lamented that they find it difficult to study as domestic animals easily enters their classrooms anytime when studying because of the wooden structure of the school.
They added that in rainy season too they go through a lot when studying because all their books and they the students get wet in the classrooms whenever it rain.
